Marcia Caton Campbell
Marcia Caton Campbell (MCRP, PhD, The Ohio State University; BA, University of Illinois) is CRC’s Executive Director. Prior to joining CRC in 2006, Marcia was on the urban and regional planning faculty at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and affiliate faculty at the university’s Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies. Her research, teaching, and publications focused on consensus building and community-based planning with diverse publics, and multi-stakeholder conflict resolution. Marcia has over 15 years of experience in community-based planning and food systems planning, research, and practice. In 2011, she published the coauthored Urban Agriculture: Growing Healthy, Sustainable Communities, PAS Report No. 563 (American Planning Association). She is a member of the American Planning Association’s Food Interest Group Leadership Committee and serves on the City of Milwaukee’s Green Team, coauthoring ReFresh Milwaukee’s food systems chapter. She has previously served on the boards of directors of the Friends of Troy Gardens, the Madison Area Community Land Trust, Growing Power, and the Community Food Security Coalition.
