CRC is 2019 National Adaptation Forum Partner
EcoAdapt‘s fourth National Adaptation Forum took place at Monona Terrace from April 23rd-25th. Center for Resilient Cities was chosen as the Forum’s 2019 Travel Offset Partner, for attendees who wished to offset their travel “guilt” by making a donation to a community organization focused on community resilience and climate adaptation. Our project, which added growing space to Badger Rock Community Gardens and winter-hardy fruit trees to Badger Rock Urban Farm, was written up in this CAKE (Climate Adaptation Knowledge Exchange) Case Study.
Despite a snowstorm the day before, the Badger Rock Community Gardeners kicked off the 2019 growing season on April 28th, excited to expand into the new space provided through the Travel Offset funds. Our thanks to EcoAdapt and National Adaptation Forum attendees for supporting community resilience and climate adaptation through healthy food access!
